Game Theory for Entrepreneurs

There is a game.

You don’t know the rules—or how to play it. But your opponent does. He knows your next move. And he has a response.

You don’t now how this move will affect the next one or the one after that. But your opponent does.

Cooperative play is usually better than competitive play — but it won’t be your first instinct — especially in the heat of the game.

Don’t treat your opponent as if the two of you won’t have to play the game again. You probably will. Relationships matter.

You only have to win once—but you’re only as good as your last game.

Neutral parties, or parties that are on your side, are also working with your opponent. Still, work with people you trust.
